Hi! I’m James, the photographer behind Sugarcone Photography, and I’m so happy you’re here. I’m a friendly, bilingual (English & Spanish) photographer who believes that every family and every story deserves to be captured with authenticity and warmth.
My approach is simple: create a comfortable environment, guide you naturally, and capture real moments filled with emotion and joy. I love working with families, couples, children, and I take pride in being patient, attentive, and detail‑oriented—especially during life’s most important celebrations.
Photography isn’t just my profession; it’s a passion I’ve had since I had my first camera at the age of 13. I feel honored every time a client trusts me to document their memories, and I treat each session as unique and meaningful.
Prior to becoming a professional photographer, I was a wedding DJ for 15 years. So I’m able to transfer my wedding customer service experience over to photography. That includes, the planning, preparations, viewing the venues, getting to know the clients and their preferences for their special day. Luckily, I don’t have to carry heavy speakers and DJ gear anymore, just my professional camera equipment that fits into a small case.
